Update Next_a real piece of your company, every three weeks
A lighter consulting programme than Update System: you sit down with Davide on the piece of your company that has stalled, get it moving with your team over the weeks that follow, and end up with a written playbook your team uses on its own.

You can see the work that needs doing, but it always ends up at the bottom of the week.
There’s always something more urgent. With a fixed session every three weeks, that piece goes into the diary and stays there.
One part of the company always jams at the same point.
Sales, a department, a procedure, the handover between two people. You take one piece at a time, with your own material.
You’ve done the Update Check, and you know where to start.
What you need is someone to keep you on it for as many months as it takes. Every session starts from what happened in the weeks before.

How it works, three weeks at a time_
The cycle repeats for the whole programme. What changes is the piece of the company you work on.

The session
With Davide, at your company or on a call, on a real piece of work: you decide what changes and who does it.
The work in between
Your team puts what was decided into practice: a new procedure, a different way of doing things, a handover. Davide reviews it, sends corrections in writing and goes through the numbers with you, and the next session starts from there.

First, you get unstuck_
The piece you kept putting off, or that always jammed at the same point, starts moving again. It happens during the programme: every three weeks you decide what changes, and in the weeks between your team does it.
Then you’re left with two things, and they keep that piece moving after the programme ends.
Your company’s playbook
How that piece of the company works at your place, written on your real cases and in the words of the people who do it. It grows with every piece you tackle, and in the end it’s the manual new people learn from, instead of having everything explained each time.
What’s inside, with an example
the steps, in the order they really happen at your company
who does what, and who decides when a case is out of the ordinary
the most common mistakes, and how to spot them in time
the numbers to watch to know whether that piece is working
Say the piece you pick is quoting. The playbook covers how a request is taken, who does the maths and on what margins, how many days it takes for the quote to go out and who calls the client back. Someone who joins the office the following month reads it and prepares their first quote without you having to explain it.
Tools your team has already tried
Each one comes from a real problem in the piece you picked, and the team uses it in the work between sessions. What doesn’t work gets fixed at the next session; what stays is, by the end of the programme, already part of everyday work.
What’s inside, with an example
templates to fill in, with the fields you need
checklists for the steps where something gets lost today
short procedures for the things you do rarely and explain again every time
Say the piece is the handover between sales and production. The tools might be an order form with everything production needs, a checklist before promising a date to the client, a set way to flag a problem. Production gets the complete order and stops chasing sales to find out what’s missing.
Along the way, session after session
Decisions, in writing
After every session, in black and white: what you decided and who does it.
The numbers dashboard
A few numbers on the piece you picked, which the manager checks every week without asking you.
In half an hour we work out together whether Update Next is right for you, and which piece to start from.
What’s included
The four-hour session and up to three hours of Davide’s work between one session and the next. You pay per session, with no hours to count. The playbook and the tools stay yours.
How long it lasts
A quarter, 4 sessions. Half a year, 9. A year, 15.
Leaving
After the first three sessions you can stop, with three sessions’ notice.
Questions about Update Next_
How long does it last, and how much time does it take from my team?
Three months to a year. You and whoever works on the chosen piece attend the four-hour session; in the weeks between, the team applies it in everyday work.
Who needs to be at the sessions?
You and the person who will take over the piece of the company you’re working on. If the piece is sales, also whoever handles the calls and the quotes.
Can I start without the Update Check?
Yes. You pick the first piece in the intro call. The Update Check helps you pick it, and in seven minutes it already tells you where to look.
How is it different from Update System?
Update Next works on one piece at a time, sales for example. Update System takes on the whole organisation, with procedures, delegation and dashboards, over a year in phases. It’s often the step after Update Next.
